The Very Rev. Dr. John P. Downey is Vicar of St. Stephen’s. He is Dean Emeritus of the Cathedral of St. Paul and Canon Theologian of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania. A lifelong resident of Northwestern Pennsylvania, he has served the Church in many capacities locally, nationally, and internationally. His wife Sharon is the Music Director for the Youth Chorale of the Erie Philharmonic and occasionally assists with music at St. Stephen’s. Fr. John has three adult daughters and two grandsons.
